Jazz Classes

ATOD Jazz Syllabus is an innovative system of training encompassing the many styles of jazz from foundation jazz to the very latest moves incorporating not only up to the minute moves but also historical steps .

These classes are designed to develop well rounded dancers who are familiar with current popular moves and famous steps of the past. This will prepare them to dance in a musical theatre or commercial jazz routines.

Primary Jazz introduces students to the basic steps and styles of jazz dancing. Our class gives the children a structured lesson developing a basic understanding of jazz terminology and technique and a great sense of fun.

Intermediate Jazz sees an introduction to a less formal style of jazz whilst still maintaining the essential jazz basics that make up a traditional Broadway performance. Students are given the opportunity to learn choreography to traditional jazz music alongside current music trends, and as always continuing to increase their jazz vocabulary and style.
